Desert Pigeons is a high-octane sixteen page SHORT STORY. It contains graphic violence, harsh language and has a “creep factor” that may keep you up at night. Please note this story is in no way suitable for children of any age, not even the adult ones.

Synopsis:
Far from home, three co-eds embark on a road trip. None return.

AUTHOR’S NOTE

Get to know the “other side” of bestselling author Van Heerling. "Desert Pigeons" was written under the pseudonym of Heerling. This was not an attempt to cloak the author, but rather to give his familiar readers an opportunity to move along and stick with his original works of contemporary and historical fiction.

Any works written strictly under the name of Heerling are of the horror and suspense genres. These stories contain graphic violence and language not kind to the ears of children. Readers that wish to continue despite this warning are wise not to read just before bed, or while they are alone. Side effects may include waking in cold sweats, apprehension and panic attacks. A hammer under the pillow may help.

To my readers that wish to continue, I welcome you into my darkness.

May you never be the same.
